Cool Climate Wine Carngham, Ballarat, Victoria.

Chepstowe Vineyard is 30 km west of Ballarat. So cool climate wine we are. What does this mean? Well the longer ripening period means more mature and complex flavours in the fruit hence the wine is elegant and great.

Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz.

The Carngham area is known for its short but hot and dry summers and bitterly cold winters. Protected from harsh frosts by the unique topography of the area, it is the perfect place for growing cool climate grapes.

The extended ripening period allows for the development of complex fruit flavour and combined with low yields enables us to produce fruit with great concentration of flavour and intensity.
